Guys, please. One ribbon on tits does not make Hestia's cosplay. We have entire new tag for that kind of ribbons, use it instead of adding a tag for cosplay of Hestia because, despite based on her custume's gimmick, this is NOT COSPLAY OF HER.

Point well made in the general case. This one's got a bit more than rei_no_himo, though - it's also a very short dress (barely clears the torso) with no sleeves and a cleavage window. The only differences between this and Hestia's well-known outfit are that it's the wrong color and the cleavage window is the wrong shape.
I'm not going to add the cosplay tag back myself - the two significant differences are just a little too significant for my taste - but I can see why someone would add it.
Why? I just try to properly tag this art. This is not Hestia's cosplay. Kasen was portrayed with that kind of costume long before even that anime was a thing and being "very short dress" don't justify putting these tags. I WILL delete them, so don't be a nuisance, Schrobby.
At times like this, it's best to look at the picture tags on pixiv and see the description or if the artist tagged it as such. Base your arguments from that, then decide.
In this case, yes, it's tagged rei no himo by the artist. Take it or leave it.
Indeed, it's certainly not strange for Kasen to be wearing this kind of clothes and that string can be just your typical, random design choice to add to the outfit. But you can't ignore the purpose of the artists. I know it's annoying to see everything going with the current fad and stuff like that, but try to see a picture for what it's meant to be.
oh, that Adapted_Costume ... clever, i like it. Still tag for that anime looks somewhat weird but okay.
Seriously, i'm sorry for that little attack. I just think that skimpy, somewhat similiar but-not-realy dress and ribbon aroud tits should not be named Hestia's cosplay. I don't know... If Alice will put Marisa's hat on head does this will count for Marisa's cosplay? I don't think so.
Adapted costumes tag does work for modifications of their original outfits. However, when you can mostly notice what it is inspired from and it not being something generic or stereotypes, I don't think you can ignore it.
If you consider cosplays to be something that needs to be done to a T, then might as well change the tags of the rest of this kind of pictures as well.
Well, they are Hestia's outfits just in different colors (and few ribbons and shirt in Mistya's cause... i think that this picture is wrong taged too but whatever.) But here we only have red, skimpy chinese dress that is COMPLETELY different from Hestia's... and her trademark ribbon, but in different color.
And because we have separate tag for that ribbon, adding Hestia_(Danmachi), Cosplay or any other different tag is... pointless, because there is separate tag just for that one ribbon.
1) Take a look at this and Hestia's usual outfit. Her white sleeveless dress and this pink sleeveless dress are extremely similar.
2) Take a look at Kasen's usual outfit. Her white shortsleeved shirt, green skirt and tabard look completely different.
Now what could that mean?
Well the fact that the dress Kasen is wearing may look the same as the dress Hestia is wearing but the color is completely different. If this would be cosplay shouldn't the color of the dress be the same?

And there is where the adapted costume tag comes in.
I am not questioning the use of adapted costume tag. But rather about adding the respective tag when you can see what kind of design it's aiming for. For example, it's like in this or this. Both are adapted costumes, but we tagged them china_dress and bikini, because those are the designs they are adapted into. Is it wrong for people to do the same, when they notice that? Especially when the fad is still booming?
If cosplay is a special case, then be my guest. I actually don't really care how you'll do this, but I'm just trying to explain and hope people are going to make a clear standard if it's such a problem for some people.
Lack of frilly/teared parts around breast and sleeves... No, this art is not a cosplay. This not Hestia's outfit, this is a different, skimpy costume. I don't care about this whole fad, but adding cosplay tag only because of ribbon and only slightly similiar costume is pointless. This is not Hestia's cosplay. Yes, it is based on her but this is far from cosplaying her.

If that's how you'll do this, then sure thing. I don't mind. But fix those other pictures like this while you're at it then.

There are many cosplay pictures on danbooru where the color is different. In those cases it's usually a color of the standard outfit, just like here. post #1990485 is a really good example.
Why not just take the cosplay tag off and leave the rei no himo and dungeon ni deai wo motomeru no wa machigatteiru darou ka tags alone. I can see that as a good compromise. I do agree a simple ribbon alone is not enough to warrant a cosplay tag, but the picture is most certainly referencing the fad and its series.
