From Konoekihei's commentary on pixiv #31630733: "And, I hope you guys kindly overlook my mistake~. [At the time of 1939, the broadcaster called Lord Haw-Haw was not William Joyce but Wolf Mittler or someone else.]"
Was she truly sunk? The mystery of the British aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal On 26 September, the Luftwaffe attacked the British fleet in the North Sea, and rained bombs on the capital ships, aircraft carriers, cruisers and destroyers, and caused fatal damage to the aircraft carriers and also great damage to the capital ships, and announced that all aircrafts returned safely. However on the 27th, First Lord of the Admiralty Sir Winston Churchill answered the question posed by the former First Lord of the Admiralty, A. V. Alexander, at the House of Commons saying, "According to the radio message from Admiral Sir Charles Forbes, the Commander-in-Chief of the Home Fleet, the bombing at issue was carried out by about 20 German aircrafts, but not one of the British warships received a direct hit, there were no casualties, and they downed one German flying boat, and caused great damage to another. Another aircraft crash-landed in the North Sea, and a British destroyer rescued four crew members of this aircraft." To this, Germany responded with a sarcastic broadcast: "If in Britain they say that they received no damage from this bombing, then the British citizens should ask the government, where then is the aircraft carrier Ark Royal (22,000 t), the pride of Britain?" It is difficult to tell which side of the story is correct, Britain's or Germany's. The photo on the right is the mysterious Ark Royal. From a 1939 Japanese magazine, probably the December 1939 issue of "Gahou Yakushin no Nihon".
...-aunching ceremony of "A-..."-...-ritain's largest aircraft carrier. Probably this is from the September 1939 issue of Japanese magazine "Teikoku Kaigun".
