So she says, but Kamikaze was the only one among them to survive long enough to see the dawn of computer age. (Depends on what you believe is the first computer though) Well, good thing that's only a virus. #no_ransomwares_in_my_back_yard

It could be ransomware. Classic "we detected a virus on your computer, download this program and run it to fix it" pop-up.

That's a rather considerate ransomware, basically saying "I am suspicious! Don't believe a thing I say!". These days hackers crack major web sites and inject them into ads or javascript so that it'll infect anyone on-the-fly whoever visits that site. Really makes you distrust the entire web.

That's why it's more important to install an advertisement blocker than an antivirus. It also saves me a lot of minutes per day while watching YouTube.

No need to install anything. Just block all javascript by default and manually whitelist anything you need.

You wouldn't believe how many people fall for that. Young and old...

Haven't you heard? The older the trick is, the more likely someone (without proper knowledge) will fall for it. Just recently, Vietnamese police just cracked open a huge cases of scam with scale up to billions using just ads like "you just won a lottery. please give us some millions of money to receive your prize of billions" or "you can make 800 billions by giving us just a million and do nothing". And you won't believe how many people fell for such ads.

Ah, that case ? Now I'm still quite surprised how more than 60000 people (yes, you read that right) literally give their money to that company. Guess it's really hard for people to resist such a deal...

4 millions turning into 800 billions in just 30 days, who wouldn't want that? The point is, so many of them even take loans/borrow money just to "invest" in that company.
