Even before Futurama, this was an episode from the original Star Trek where the Enterprise was tricked by Harry Mudd to a planet full of robots that eventually decided to conquer the human race and the universe with the idea of serving them, making it so that humans will become so reliant on the robots they’ll pretty much be helpless without them and be completely taken over.
Its also basically the ultimate plan of Beast Kama in FGO. She would fill the whole universe with copies of herself that would essentially spoil all of humanity rotten.
