Which was a serpent-like youkai that entered women's bodies and caused intestinal and reproductive trouble.

With that design and name, I can't really imagine it being anything but a very direct reference to a manga or something similar. Especially the censored bit almost always means it's a specific thing from popular culture.

It's from Hell Teacher Nube; it's his personal tube-fox, the one he summoned on Izuna's introductory chapter, when one of her tube foxes went berserk and wraked havoc on the city, so he went and used his own personal tube fox to eat the offending youkai.

Well, it's probably just because of Hell Teacher N*be.I assumed by default that "tube foxes can go into tubes".
This book was born off of that assumption.
