The art really looks quite good, a bit weird on some of the blood smears that extend from the leg guard in a straight line to the tail and back to the arm, or from the waistguard to the thumb.
I can be mistaken of course but it does feel inconsistent.

If anything does it really take me back to the early 2000's where putting different colored eyes on a character was enough for most to call it an oc.
Makes you wonder if it was deliberate to keep the looks, feel and personality so same-y, since they would otherwise not be associated to the more popular and arguably better designed original.
Would be at least my guess since there must have been some thought behind making and ultiamtely commissioning this one.

I for one would die in shame if my best attempt at originality would immediately be mistaken with the actual original.
