The story follows Angel Martinez, a young college dropout who has decided to participate in a clinical trial for a new medication designed to help treat ADHD or ADD. The trial takes place of the course of 8 weeks and Angel must be injected with the medication weekly. At the end of the final week, they are supposed to receive a reward of one thousand US dollars. The deuteragonist is a mid-level PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) and data collector named Lee Smith who will administer them the drug.
The first half of the game focuses on the events that take place during the 8 weeks of the clinical trial. After that point, the setting of the game changes and the relationship between the two main characters does as well. The game has two endings, whichever is reached is determined by how the player chooses to navigate that change in relationship.
