A villainous character from the manga and anime series One Piece. Unlike his lazy and weak world noble colleagues, he is powerful enough to lead the God's Knights, the elite guard of Mary Geoise, and would later become one of the Five Elders replacing Jaygarcia Saturn who was killed by Imu as a punishment for letting Monkey D. Luffy escape.
He is the father of the powerful pirate Shanks and Figarland Shamrock.
