Also known as the Aupuni Mōʻī o Hawaiʻi, it was the royal entity that governed Hawaii from 1795 to 1893 and founded by King Kamehameha I.
Abolished in 1893 when its last monarch was overthrown by ministers loyal to the United States and formally annexed in 1898.
