massan (tv series)

A Japanese TV drama series aired from September 29, 2014 to March 28, 2015 as part of Asadora TV block on NHK. It is based on the lives of Taketsuru Masataka, the father of Japanese whisky, and Rita, the Scottish woman who married him during an era when transnational marriages were rare and faced strong resistance.
