pastel goth
Western fashion style derivative of goth fashion, with some similarities to yami kawaii and gurokawa, primarily using dreamy pastel colors such as purple, pink, blue, and mint green contrasted with black. It emerged from Tumblr in the early 2010s.
Common visual motifs include dripping patterns, inverted crosses, eyeballs, bats, bones, galaxy prints, crystals, and ghosts. Gradients are also especially commonplace. Hair is often long and pastel-colored with an ombré dye effect.
Popular clothing choices include oversized sweaters, pleated skirts, torn pantyhose, and vests layeree over other clothes. Additionally, accessories such as spiked hairbands, head wreaths, thigh straps, thighhighs with a skeletal or cross print, and hair bows decorated with fake eyeballs are often worn. Footwear typically consists of mary janes, boots, platform shoes, or sneakers.
