Humikane's 4th Anniversary art gives her the same summer attire that Z3 Max Schultz wore: a white sailor bikini with a white version of her sailor cap with an additional striped bow and a smiley face for the dot on her hat. In addition to that, she wears a pleated microskirt over her side-tie bikini bottom and carries a leather case filled with tupets (Z3's own case doesn't seem to be containing anything). A version with a similar gear configuration to Summer Z3 was eventually used as her own Summer CG, with her own cooler in dazzle camouflage containing what seems to be ice cream (It has "Eiskrem" written in Blackletter on it instead of the correct "Speiseeis" and, even with the cooler open, we never see the stuff). Upon being damaged, she is being airdropped tupets, one being lodged between her buttocks. This also implies that the leather case on both Z1 and Z3 is actually a replacement for a torpedo launcher.
Her namesake (as well as that of her historical counterpart) was the rear admiral in charge of the German naval forces against the British in the Battle of Heligoland Bight, where he lost his life.
The real-life Z1 was herself sunk in February 1940 when a Luftwaffe bomber mistakenly bombed her while en route to an anti-shipping operation.
