First of all, man across the world are getting more selective in what actually they liked due to gacha games forcefeeding us with literal ้ ๆฑ ่ๆ in terms of fanservice. At this point a fully clothed, prim type character would be more acceptable than another skintight boobs and ass type.
Secondly, it's just gacha fatigue. Games has been pumping characters and characters back and back, even giving them alters and whatnot just to get easy money from essentially a bunch of pixels. And then make them obsolete in like, 5-6 months.
Why even pull? Why even need to own them? As time passes, there will be stronger units, more 'beautiful' units, more 'useful' units. The right way to play these games is not playing them and just looking at the arts, but a lot of people still stuck in that hell and funding them to create sloppily characterized characters literally for thirst traps.

It's silly to complain about this stuff in context of a game like Nikke, when Nikke was very clear about its target audience from the beginning. Really nice with AI allegations there when I try to break down answers into points everyone can see and understand. Go on, throw my answers into those detection sites and see if it's comprised by AI or not, because I already wasted enough time here. I never say I didn't like sexualizations in game. I was talking about the real problem that is slopification of what counts as fanservice nowadays, which is entirely different topic. Oh, so NIKKE was a game about watching ass (and by some extension, boobs) jiggle? Then it gave the devs the justification of having someone with bare ass for 'extra jiggle' on the screen? Why don't they put a whole naked girl shooting then? That way the jiggle would be more pronounced since there's no clothes restricting the assets!
That's not how this works. In design, there's 'less is more' and conversely 'more are less'. For most characters, the clothing they wear are more than half of their personality, and by deducting them it would make the characterization of these individuals questionable. Yes, NIKKEs are robots that doesn't even need to wear clothing if really needed, given they don't really need the warmth and insulation these items provided but giving a cold weather parka but nothing underneath else from some low-rise panties and high-waist pantyhose is just beyond asinine design philosophy; it's really just a marketing plot at this point. Bringing Last Origin as 'why' these titles started the race to strip down characters to bare minimum was like comparing a game with built-in naked filter with normal games: it's never the direct cause, but rather the influx of many gooner-based games with less skin coverage ramps up the competition; sex sells, it's true, but even prostitutes rather wear makeup instead of going full au naturel because they will sell more that way.
By the way, the next NIKKE to receive a skin is Bready. How's that for gooner bait?

Blame the writers who's handling her if you ask me, they could have fucked right then and there (seriously it isn't that hard to write, I literally seen fanfic give her justice better than this), but apparently there's some dumbfuck writer in SU who purposely loses the opportunity

This is an unpopular take in the community, but one I agree with tbh.
I liked Rapi more before she was constantly making "I'm in a relationship with Commander" jokes at some of the most awkward and unprovoked times.
Rapi kinda felt unique in the gacha "Main girl" slot in that she wasn't overtly pushy about how much she loved the MC, but now it feels like we can't go a single story chapter without her going "Also I love the MC and am in a relationship with him", and it kind of borders on almost pathetic in a way. A cute kind of pathetic, but it's like, it veers too much into "Mash Kyrielight" territory.

When you consider her past, how awkward she could be in social interactions (and is now still awkward but in a completely opposite way), and one of her SR Advice sessions (forgot which number. Itโs about when she and Neon were looking for the latterโs shell casing), I think the implication is that, for the first time in her life, she has something she truly cherishes in the Commander, but sheโs going overboard with it and might very much be paranoid and afraid of losing him in any way. If the right writer(s) build off of whatโs been done so far, I could see a moment where she finally realizes how incredibly selfish sheโs become regarding her feelings for him, and we could see her asking him for a fresh start together while not being as clingy.
This is just me, but if they build off of what I proposed here, I can see it culminating in the two of them โtruly becoming as oneโ in a main story chapter. And THAT could be how we get her SSR favorite item as well (my idea for it for now is a photograph of the two of them (or maybe adding Only One as well) together along with the Counters showing their support, and in the background you can see a transparent Red Hood giving a thumbs up).

Your hopes are indeed set high for a story that's told as irregular as Nikke, but now that we know the chronological order of the events and how everything plays out in the main story they might become better at writing since it's not that hard eithet after having the ground set for many characters such as Rapi and Cinderella; it does bother me to see how the SR Rapi had so much moments to shine and was indeed someone you could rely on as a team member from the Counters to become the "walking horny nuke" that could evaporate someone like Nihilister in seconds after the sync with Redhood. It felt kinda unique to see her unleashing that state temporarily and acquire the scarf with the blazing red hair color in crucial moments and they could've kept it as a transformation for her that she could slowly get the hang of it instead of 24/7 red hood mode that also has such impact in her personality that she went from Rapi to Redhood 2.0.
The most easy way to picture the Rapi accessing Redhood could've been just like how Inuyasha got used to maneuver and unlock Tessaiga to it's full power by growing up as a person. On the other hand, Rapi could've become more familiar with the Red hood state over time instead of the sudden miraculous synchronization after making amends with her past and getting the most ridiculous power up by a long shot, which she gets to keep without even training or having the ground set for it, it even became a meme how she gets it. The counters went from a squad to Rapi and the other two, which is something I could talk about but I don't have the time nor energy to get frustrated by poor writing.

There's something different with "some internet copypasta" and the titanic amount of Vaporeon meme and heinous stuff that came from it, kinda like how I like Typhlosion even though it's not among my favorites and the non-stop stuff about the Diddymon from the Eipstein region like an oversaturated joke simply made me dislike a lot of pokemon artist, the guy should've directed the negative feelings towards the core of the problem not the victim.
