Wiki - How to Pixiv Source

When I first started uploading I had a lot of trouble understanding how to properly use the source box with Pixiv. I've seen a few other people have this problem and have typed out decently long explanations for them, but it seems odd that I can't seem to find a wiki entry that explains it. Have I missed it? If not, where should I put it? howto:pixiv or howto:upload perhaps, or a whole page on sourcing?

howto:upload should probably explain how the source box works since many people don't seem to grasp it.

Well, if nobody else weighs in before I get a chance to write it, I'll put it there. This weekend is turning out to be a bit busy, so my usual Danbooru binging has been reduced to small spurts.

+1 for howto:upload, just because that's the first place I'd look if I wanted to find it. I didn't even know there was a howto:pixiv.

I added the section in howto:upload under the heading "Aftercare of Uploads," as the headings above it are mostly about acceptance criteria. Revisions are, of course, welcome; perhaps a section for Seiga if needed. I don't know how that site works.

Pretty sure you don't actually have to pick the full size images to upload them (aside from manga.) Danbooru's software should fetch the highest resolution automatically as long as you're using the source field correctly.

Yeah that works for Pixiv medium sizes and manga samples, as well as several other sites that people upload from like Twitpic and deviantArt.

There are some exceptions though, I don't think it works with the smallest Pixiv thumbnails (150px) when they have /img-inf/ in the url, or with Nico Seiga at all.

Huh, I thought I saw a massive decline in samples being posted. Didn't realize something like that had been implemented. I still don't quite understand that process, so I'll refrain from changing it.
