I'm pleased to announce a new feature: reactions! Reactions allow you express your feelings about a post or comment in the form of an emoji. Just press the Add Reaction icon beneath a post or comment to add your reaction.

The voting and favoriting systems have been removed in favor of reactions. Reactions are more versatile, plus it means commenters and uploaders no longer have to worry about pesky anonymous users downvoting them for no reason.

I'm happy to bring Danbooru one step closer to being a modern social media platform!

I need my favourites feature back, that was so convenient.

Next step, audio clip reactions that all play at the same time, regardless of order, as long as you donate a certain amount in person to each admin.

So modern! I'm equally as proud of how far this site has come ;-;

Hopefully by next year there'll be little popup notifications that stack on each other every time a new post gets uploaded. :>

• Added search box for reactions.
• Added ability to react to users, wikis, and pools. You can go to a user's profile page, a wiki page, or a pool to react to it. Examples:

This is truly a horrible and unneeded change. I hate it. The website is much better without these reactions.

Not gonna lie part of me wishes this could stay as an opt-in feature, it's unexpectedly cute and I enjoy the variety of emoticons.

I know this will probably be gone as soon as tomorrow, but were the upvote and downvote buttons completely removed ?

Thankfully, the API endpoints still work. :o)

you can still technically vote on posts when you hover on thumbnails, but i admit it's not convenient at all
also would be nice if there were vote shortcuts

I would like to propose a character limit. Lack of character limits brought us forum posts such as topic #17356, and really, who wants to read all that? If you can't properly argue something in the same time span as an elevator pitch, then it's not worth arguing.
