What would be the tag name for this small piece of hair, if any?

The three small tufts of hair at the back of her head.

I wouldn't call them ahoge or antenna head. Maybe there's another name for that.

AFAIK there is no tag.
They're just tufts of hair.

Technically, it could be called a cowlick, which is different from an ahoge in usage, but is similar enough in look and basic meaning that it's sometimes used in translation due to there being no other similar word in English.

You could probably tag them with parted_bangs.

Messy_hair also comes to mind, but I agree with Kikimaru and jjj14 on this one.

Hm... What about the other extreme of messy_hair? Do we have a tag for hair that doesn't have any strays? smooth_hair, perhaps? Then we can just search -messy_hair -smooth_hair to get hair with little offshoots?

Then again, even if the OP didn't have that cowlick, the styled bangs would disqualify it, based on that impromptu description. Maybe it'd be applied past the bangs (that is, the hair that goes back/down)?

Personally, I'd fill cowlick — or maybe something along the lines of top-back cowlick, to specify the right place — with a number of posts, as those tufts of hair draw my attention. Its list of posts would potentially be huge, of course, probably reaching even open mouth or smile in size. But since other people think it is not worthy as a tag, I simply go along with them.

Since we have messy hair, I suppose smooth hair could be good for post #1037463 and post #1051011.
