Tag Implication: mahou_senki_lyrical_nanoha_force -> mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha

I was going to dmail jxh a couple months back asking him to go ahead with it, that I would just do it all manually, but apathy got the better of me and now I have no free time.

Mass edits is something even I can do thanks to my program, and we can let there be no Nanoha implications for a short period of time if that's required. Exactly what manual work is required for this (including my A's question, above)? If it's partially automatable, perhaps we could use mass-add temporary tags to flag certain subsets for review.

The current Nanoha copyright tags are:

• delete implication mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha_strikers -> mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha
• delete implication mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha_vivid -> mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha
• create implication mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha -> lyrical_nanoha
• create implication mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha_the_movie_1st -> lyrical_nanoha

I leave the A's -> mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha implication in place because it's such a fuzzy boundary. Someone who wants to see young Nanoha/Fate would have to either OR A's and Classic or negate the other copyrights, if the A's implication were removed. If you disagree, the following actions would also be necessary:

• delete implication mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha_a's -> mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha
• delete implication mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha_a's_portable:_the_gears_of_destiny -> mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha
• remove mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha from mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha ~mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha_a's ~mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha_a's_portable:_the_gears_of_destiny status:any

There's a bunch of A's unique characters so the issue isn't really discerning A's from Classic, it's discerning what's just classic and not a's.

Someone who wants to see young Nanoha/Fate would have to either OR A's and Classic or negate the other copyrights, if the A's implication were removed.

I'd say leaving the A's implication is probably a good idea, and honestly most of the young Nanoha/Fate stuff is based on A's anyway.

In fact, if we do this right, A's SHOULD be the largest of the individual series tags

Did the rest. As for removing msln from the three tags mentioned, I did the mass edit but excluded anything with crossover, time_paradox, or dual_persona just to be safe.

It would appear that you botched the mass edit, removing the mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha_strikers and mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha_vivid tags from images of those series, instead of removing the mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha tag from them.

I've taken care of the rest.

Wtf? Bah mass edit obviously doesn't work how I think it works then. I never told it to remove those tags...

Edit: by the way when I make a massive fuckup like this, posting in the thread is correct (because helpful people like RaisingK can clean up after me), but also send me a PM as well. I see PMs far more often (multiple times a day generally)` than I see the forums.

Mass edits take the exact tags you enter in the first box and replaces them with exactly what you put in the second box.

Bleh for some reason I was approaching it more like "Find tags that meet search criteria of box 1, then apply box 2 tags". Sort of like a tag script, since you can search for negations too. You can tell I almost never mass edit anything beyond a straight substitution (and even that not recently) and almost always tag script or alias/implicate instead.

You can always message me to make sure the mass edit you're going to submit is going to produce the result you expect, I'm pretty used to them from the number I've done on 3db and I don't mind helping.
