Pointless Pools

How about next time leaving to to someone with more experience and precision as sorting through the whole thing is going to be a massive pain.

And such removals are better handled by a discussion of people, not someone who's been here only 4 months.

I would have a more accurate description of what you did, but it would not be polite.

"eye of the beholder"

I myself would kill more then half of what is still on the first page. A lot of it is cute at best. The pool from it's inception has had far too many images that do not match the description.

Anyway I guess a separate thread should be made.

The first time, it was deemed "hard to replicate with normal tag search" and was overlooked or simply ignored the other 3 times.

Forgive me if I'm revealing my ignorance, but...isn't it easy enough to replicate with a tag search for izayoi_sakuya + knifed ?

Not exactly, since there can be images with just Meiling and a knife. However, I do think knifed + touhou is sufficient to cover the purpose of the pool.

Guys the knifed tag was made so this pool could be deleted. Look the previous pages.

Since, to all appearances, no action had been taken toward eliminating the pool, I took the liberty of removing all of its posts (after ensuring they had been tagged "knifed") and rendering it inactive.

Should "Images mimicking Alphes' style" (pool #267) be a tag instead of a pool? It strikes me as a fairly objective concept.

It seems so, but we need to relate the alphes tag by adding it to all the images in that pool.

Then we can have alphes+style_parody, the same can apply in pool #1081 and pool #1456 that all style parody pools.

But I think it would be a lot confusing, because we will have 2 artists in one post if tagged style_parody, the one is the artist that copy the style and the one who is the artist who is using the style on the first place.

That is completely unnecessary. Can you please just wait until a moderator deletes the pool?

No, I prefer my artist tags to be clusterfuck-free, thanks.

Right, its better to stay on the same thing, I see nothing bad about those pools, so there is no clear reason to delete that pool.

I agree that doubling artist tags on style parodies is not a viable solution, but I maintain that the concept is too objective and too easily searchable to warrant a pool. Would the creation of general tags like "alphes_style" be appropriate, or would that solution be more complex than the problem?

On a related note, many of the fine art parody posts are tagged with the name of the original artist. I guess the thought here is that no one would mistake post #179377 for the work of Salvador Dali. But simply for consistency's sake, shouldn't these posts be tagged (or pooled) in the same manner as the other style parody posts?
