calculate_tag_subscriptions appears to be stuck

Posted under General

My subscriptions have had another semi-bump, with two of them updated and the other three still two weeks old.

I would be really curious to hear from albert (or someone else in the know) as to what the actual problem is. The fact that the job dies with "RuntimeError: You cannot search for only excluded tags", coupled with the erratic pattern of updates it makes before dying, makes me wonder if there isn't just one dude out there trying to subscribe to "-touhou" or something who's killing it for everyone.

Huzzah! I squealed in glee to see my profile refresh. So much to catch up on~

Someone throw a minus in their subscriptions? I always did wish you could do that.

Nobody listens to me, jeeze. (Yes, I'm kidding.) I'd actually wager it was "-comic," I'd so love to be able to do that. Seems like it'd be hell on the search, though.

My biggest minus search is likely when I'm looking for mecha musume who aren't from any certain series but aren't originals (although the original tag is often forgotten anyway) but I'd never put it in a subscription. I didn't even know you couldn't subscribe to a - tag anyway. I never would've done it. All my subscriptions are artist tags.

Anyway, omega thanks for the fix. It's working fine and happiness ensues.

Looks like it's happened again a few hours ago, once more with the 'RuntimeError: You cannot search for only excluded tags' error.

And again, buried under a pile of failed alias/implication jobs.

Upgrades come with problems, I guess.

Is that what happened? I was wondering at the sudden recent return of slowdown, "Failbooru" responses, and stalled subscription updates. Well, such is the price of progress.

Absolute guess. But still not out of the question.

All I know is what was on @teruyo's Twitter feed:
"welp my kernel is too old, debating whether or not to reinstall the os"
"i'm bringing hijiribe back up for now"
"your dns may take some time to update to remove sonohara"
"but you can use http://hijiribe.donmai.us directly for now"

And apparently the site was just down for maintenance (I must've missed it), but the Job Tasks situation remains the same.
