This is true, but I'd wager it'd never be tagged unless it was one. Something like this would never get tagged even if it was identifiable as what it was.
A Google image search shows some devices that aren't the traditional "strip": squids, triple outlet adapters, etc, but they are generally close enough to a "power strip" to be labled as such.
