Side-streetdog said: Why now... Jobs could do more to change this world... A LOT MORE!! But just his legacy already so much for us. RIP
In a way, it wasn't surprising. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in 2003 or so, which I've learned is basically a death sentence. People are actually surprised that he managed to live as long as he did.
Even for people aware of that though [I wasn't] it's still a shock.
“Jobs didn’t disappoint his troops. ‘You’re ripping us off!’ he shouted. ‘I trusted you, and now you’re stealing from us!’ ”
Gates looked back at Jobs calmly. Everyone knew where the windows and the icons came from. “Well, Steve,” Gates responded. “I think there’s more than one way of looking at it. I think it’s more like we both had this rich neighbor named Xerox and I broke into his house to steal the TV set and found out that you had already stolen it.”
Steve Jobs was responsible for introducing the Pc to the average person and making it accesible to the rest of the world. May the master rest in peace...
