The 5th darkness panel is surprisingly bright

I think more than tragedy of long life, this is gameplay mechanics in action, as far I remember, Dahlia has very strangle tastes, and the main character has the ability to teleport back to his home (Which looks exactly as that panel 4 as far I remember)

I don't think so, there'd be no point in making the bedridden character look so visibly aged and ragged if it were just going to end with a "Your taste sucks, I'm out" gag.

Just a thought... Isn't he just returning to the Forest of Beginning...

Is his body returning to the Forest of Beggining after his death?

He's part monster so it makes sense for him to return to the Forest of Beginning.
