As Akyuu said, its a pure case by case basis. Look at Alice and Patchouli.

Patchouli tried to eat Marisa(not sexually) in EoSD. And I think Makaiyans are a diffrent species alltogether.

Why the hell Yukari only sealed Reimu? Couldn't they eat her to solve all possible future problems?

EoSD is a special case, since just about everyone is explicitly trying to kill or eat you.

But she doesn't try to eat Marisa as much as look up how nutritious Marisa is. Patchouli is a cultured youkai.

Wouldn't it be awesome if ZUN actually said that the PC-98 series was canon to our modern touhou? Good god I wish it was true.............but sadly Modern Touhou has Alice as a "Youkai" not from "Makai" origin.

She also read a book on "how to cook the black thing in front of you" That just mean she uses utensils to eat a person.

Pc-98 IS Canon, Alice's dialog in PCB with Reimu implies that, Zun just can't explain clearly what happened in between. plus I think Akyuu can't tell between a youkai and a pure Demon.

Because if you kill the Hakurei Shrine Maiden, not even Yukari would be able to stop the barrier from coming down and returning Gensokyo to the outside world. Which would be very bad for all the supernaturals.

I don't know if its canon, given how Touhou is in general, I thought it was playing around with the fourth wall with how Alice was in PC-98.

Although who knows, Zun might finally bring back Mima.

Reimu do have points. But the author forgot the so-called "spell-card rules" which a hack tools to take down even the mightiest Goddess. Second, Yukari is a schemer. She already designed Gensokyo brilliantly so that humans from village won't notice that they're being separated from outside world, also she willingly would protect them from harmful threat (PMiSS/side story, SSiB, Sougetsu)

No... This is what happens when Reimu discards the spell card rules.

Poor Reimu. Might've worked out if she assassinated/sealed all of her possible enemies from the shadows while keeping up a facade
