    Seems somewhat odd for Sakuya to want to deliberately call out the version of Youmu that nearly killed her in this way.

    I can understand from a story perspective why she'd want Youmu to regain the power and skill she demonstrated in those circumstances, but at worst this will just fail and at best it will kind of work only to result in Youmu going nuts on somebody.

    Sometimes to bring out the best in somebody, extreme measures need to be taken. How many times have you seen (in fiction) a character kill or threaten or otherwise awaken some sort of trauma just to get another to become desperately serious?
