You know... I've been thinking about that and thanks to this upload, I'm glad I'm not alone. Miko and Tojiko's historical bases are wed and if Futo is really "Futsuhime"... Technically that would make Futo, Tojiko's mother...
I kept thinking that when I read about Futsuhime and all, about Futo being Tojiko´s mother. It is kind of impossible in Touhou´s canon I guess. Also, wasn´t Futo supposed to also have some Mononobe no Moriya basis? That would make her her own brother, too.
All three are historically confusing. See how you have a prince (with a well documented live, with no place for a possible disguised gender or anything of the sort) turned into a girl with a somewhat fitting background to make for it (if this weren´t ZUN we are talking about I would have bet he is just cross-dressing). The idea is pretty interesting, nonetheless.
What I love of this is when people try to make the canon and history fit somehow. It results on very interesting theories.

. However, this is only a speculation as there is no canonical statement saying Futo is Futsuhime and Tojiko is Tojiko no Iratsume. So stop saying nonsense like that...
The parents enter with the bride in a wedding!Futo... you're kinda mistaken here.Stare~
