Even as a kid, she hates Kaguya. I don't know the story, but that's some really solid grudge here.

Don't quote me on this, but I think the reason behind Mokuo's dislike towards Kaguya has to do with Kaguya being the main culprit behind's Mokuo's immortality.

    Don't judge me for this:

Kaguya's based on the Kaguya-hime of Japanese legend, from The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. Look it up on Wikipedia or something. The idea is that she's really fucking drop-dead pretty.

As the story goes, five princes come to ask for Kaguya's hand in marriage, and in response, Kaguya-hime hands them each an impossible request, agreeing to marry whichever prince manages to fulfill his.
Kaguya's spell cards named "Impossible Request 'Dragon's Necklace -5 Colored Shots-'" are a reference to this.

Obviously, the princes fail miserably and they go home humiliated (except for the guy who gets killed).
Mokou's story is that her father was one of the princes, and Mokou hates Kaguya's guts for ruining his life.

Mokou actually becomes immortal only when she spitefully steals and drinks the Hourai elixir that Eirin had used to bribe the humans into giving Kaguya up, seeing as how Kaguya got whisked away before she could even manage a shot at revenge.
In fact, when Mokou ends up in Gensokyo after being driven out of the human world for being a freak, she's overjoyed when she learns that (1) Kaguya's immortal too and can be killed over and over again, and (2) freaks are okay by Gensokyo's standards.

I'm not even really into Touhou much, I swear.

I don't believe you. You know more than the average touhoufan, and yet you pretend you're not really into touhou stuff? Either you're an university teacher interested in Japanese legends, either you're some kind of immortal being with the perfect memory.

Some people like myths, regardless of origins. I enjoy mythology stories, and know Greek, Irish, Indian, and Japanese myth, and am also interested in Russian, although I haven't found great sources for them yet...

I can understand that. Back in the days, I used to be interested in myths too, and now I'm mostly trying to figure out how they were used.

So, long story short, Kaguya-kaasan put Moko-tan's twuck in time out.
