And for the record, she's top 19 at Touhou's Popularity Poll. Rest of the TD crew is way down. A gj for her. :>

All in all? Not that great, actually. It's the lowest a new character has entered in their first year of being eligible.
Aya entered at 8th.
Sanae and Satori entered at 13th.
Byakuren entered at 15th.

It's good considering that, every year, new characters get added to potentially place them lower as a result if they can't match their popularity. Still not that great in comparison though.

But with each game/addition to the cast, the difficulty in popularity ranking inherently gets more difficult. Comparisons only make sense if you at rank relative to the number of options, rather than number of votes.

Fair enough I'd say. How many characters does the cast pool of Touhou have at the moment anyway? Are we past 200 yet?
