    I find it weird that Patchouli is tied for top strength with Remilia while being 3 levels below her and a mage.

    Actually, what the translator omitted was that for Patchouli, it doesn't say just strength. There's another character in front of it. I can't read Japanese, but I can only assume that it says something like "Magical Strength".

    That is how Fire Emblem works.

    Not in all of the games. I know that several of them allow units to have both Strength and Magic, while others only allow one or the other, depending on class.

    That said, the mechanics used here don't seem consistent with any one game - at least not any of the ones released outside Japan. On the one hand, the stuff like the stat display, apparent lack of personal Skills, and items suggest GBA mechanics, but the Anima elements are split like in the Tellius games. It seems mostly GBA style overall, but not completely.

    If you're saying that in Fire Emblem, they just say "Strength" whether they mean physical or magical strength, I'd say that's probably just a character limit. There's no doubt that this image differentiates between magical power and physical strength, but of course it only takes 1 extra character to do so.

    @Teclo
    I think what Avalanche meant is that in some Fire Emblem games, there is both a (physical) strength stat and a magic stat, like in the Gamecube Fire Emblems (not sure which others), but on the GBA, at least on the localized version, the characters had either a strength stat or a magic stat depending on their class.

    Maybe she's a recruit, like those three kids in Sacred Stones.

    Hopefully, either that (i.e., Lv9 recruit), or she's Lv9 unpromoted tops (while everyone else in the House of Scarlet seems to have been promoted)
