That would have more meaning if this image had any sort of message at all... Those black Jesus paintings caused controversy because it inherently brought racial and religious politics into a debate about how they interacted.
This is just drawing some famous character as a cute girl - it has nothing to with Jesus at all, as far as I can tell. In fact, I wouldn't recognize this character as such without tags.
Does it really matter? When you think about it, it all boils down to cautionary tales and so forth. Jesus may have existed, however his powers and status as the Son of God are questionable and most likely untrue, fabricated only to satiate the pious peoples of his time period. I write this with no offense, since I do believe the existence of the Christian god, but I am Shintoist, therefore I believe the Christian god only has influence within his own specific faith as there are other gods who rule over other faiths, lands, families, ideals, etc.
As a sidenote, am I crazy to believe in the existence of Yasaka Kanako? Because I do. And I feel a little unsure of whether or not I just went insane and started worshiping a fictitious character.
As a Roman Catholic, I find this a little diturbing to read. I'm not very strict on my views, I'm very loose on them, but I can sure as heck tell this will grab a lot of attention of those sensitive to the subject, might I ask you either change it or withdraw it? I'm very certain it will spark one of those: 'R' Debates and I think in the best interests of everyone that is something well avoided.
I have learned to respect all faiths, (all though I question you kyon9854, really 神道主義?) So I can say to most people that whatever you believe is to yourself, and it shouldn't be affected by what others say or do to your religion, or it's 'idols' (i.e. Buddha, Mohammed, Santa, Satan etc.) if you feel it is not right of them. Since it is hard to quash the public's voice, then simply listen, and create your own ideal, and or glean from their insight aswell.
Ultimately you should not be offended by the following, if you are a Christian, but have a mind for what is within the reaches of your own control:

The artist tags the character as キリストたん (Christ-tan) and as original. Didn't see any copyright associated, so I just assumed it was just the artist's interpretation of a moe Christ.
