Impossible to decide. I love both versions. After all a model, by definition, will change constantly to suit the designers' ideas. Models are like shapeshifters on a minor level.
Imo, that and being steeped in such a vain world has a way of making their personalities quite interesting, as long as they're not vapid to begin with.
