This image has some controversy in Japan, since every single one of these girls is blatantly traced from another pic. Or alternatively, all the artists involved are copying from the same pose books.

I'm pretty sure no one cares that much about one picture being traced. Like who gives a damn, its just a damn posing picture that will be forgotten in ages. Such a travesty.Get the hell over, beside like was Ecchi Kitty said, the girls on this one look better than them.

While pretty blatant, I'm also going with the "they all copied from the same pose book" school of thought. I've seen these poses a bazillion times. I doubt Miyata Sou traces all their work, so it could've been done for work-related reasons. Japan's media arts industry is infamous for having the boss walk in and go "I need this pic on my desk in 10 minutes and you only get one chance at it. No re-takes." While the moral factor may bug people, I can totally see why they did it.

Any time I ever traced anything it was obvious because everything other than the traced bits (like hair or clothing I'd change) looked like crap compared to the rest. I'd never be able to convert that Haruna in full PJs into a bikini-clad Inia and make it look good. It really reminds me how terrible I am at drawing. LOL

J-Rocy247 and dragnfly, that line of reasoning falters when you consider this isn't exactly the first time Miyata Sou's been busted for blatantly tracing.

Apparently everyone agrees, Miyata Sou will no longer be working on MuvLuv in an official capacity.

How is losing a horrible artist who traces everything a loss?

There almost a dozen books on vampire pretty boys plus tv series out there, all cashing in on damn stupid Twillight "saga". Not to mention, a whole slew of supernatural fictions on werewolves, succubus and such almost mirroring each others.
Here an artist, admittedly traced from other work but with better(hotter) looking characters, because of that he got fired!
So what if he traced a character pose, that not plagiarism and that called as paying homage. No different from actresses pose like Marilyn. If you can identify that art pose then give yourselves a pat in back for having great memory, no need to go raving that artist a cheat or such. Go try trace the same pose yourselves and see if you produce any better than Miyata Sou!

No, that is blatant plagiarism. This is plagarism, even the eyes are exactly alike, you don't even know the terms you speak of. Besides, Miyata Sou is a shitty artist and they can get others to imitate his style easily, just as he imitated the previous TE illustrator's style.

He has been caught with this shit three times, the second time forcing him to make a public apology and a vow to never do it again. Stop being an apologist for this garbage.

Plagiarising anime poses is serious business apparently. As if the rest of the world cares.

It's not just that, it's copying the artwork. Holy fuck, I can't believe people actually defend blatant tracing like this.
