Okay, I've tried to do some digging, but all I'm getting is noise. Could someone familiar with this series confirm the name of the girl on the left? All I'm coming up with suggests that these two are the same character despite the differences in their stature and body shape. There's no obvious record of her having a dual_persona either, so I'm pretty stumped.
I believe this is a somewhat oddly-colored version of the "older" Canal whom belonged to the main character's mother-figure (been a while since I've seen it...) and whom visited Jill as he was dying in the anime series.
It's hard to recognize since this hair is much more purple and she isn't in her flowing gown with feathery cape.
