Not as easily as you think, a standard Tyranitar can endure 1 maybe two earthquakes of it's properly ev trained. Tyranitar can learn attack form almost any types, including surf, areal ace, and flamethrower. And he's deceptively fast for his size, especially with rock pollish and dragon dance...
He's nigh impossible to beat without a fighting type attack.

Exactly. Fucking monster.
But...if I had to guess, this is just a random wild Tyranitar, so it won't be EV trained or have bizarre attacks. It also won't have a trainer to rein it in when it tries to tear Tenshi and Iku to bloody shreads if it catches them.
Also, the image of a surfing Tyranitar amuses me to no end.
