We never fought Russia in an actual stand up and shoot conflict. Half our battles with them were diplomatic or off the books.

I remember a documentary on Snipers where a sniper detailed finding a Russian adviser with the VC or North Koreans.

Funny for all of the popular portrayals of Russia vs America. There's rarely been an open conflict between the 2 superpowers. The Cold War's battles were mostly battle by Proxy in which both the US and Russia backed their allies indirectly.

I don't know... maybe replace the German with the Japanese. I mean, they're the ones that brought America into WW2.

The US did directly fight the soviets with >8000 soldiers as part of the Allied Intervention in the Russian Civil War but that's about it
