Got this in my mail ... ---------------------------------------------------------- Auto-notice: Wrong pixiv source (member illust) Sent by RaisingK 1 hour to BrendaCross ago
Regarding post #1193826 ( tag edit @ 2012-06-23 14:39 ):
The link you used indicates that you did not upload the post directly from pixiv but instead uploaded it from your hard drive. One problem with this is that the image may have undergone modifications since it was downloaded from pixiv (like this one). The original, unmodified image is always preferred on Danbooru. Another problem is that the image might actually be a pixiv thumbnail or pixiv manga sample. To upload directly from pixiv, simply enter the direct image link into the "Source" field and leave the "File" field blank. This scan was unable to correct the link because the MD5 hash of this image did not match any of the sizes linked to by the source you gave. Please make sure the source URL is correct, and do not resize or in some other way modify pixiv images before uploading. You will have to check yourself to see if any larger versions of the image exist.
Check your other recent edits/uploads for other corrections this scan may have made, and please be more careful in the future. If you really do know better and just made a random mistake, don't worry about it. Nothing else will be done, and you won't get any other notices unless other mistakes are found in later scans.
See howto:pixiv, pixiv thumbnail, and pixiv manga sample for more information. If you still have questions after reading those entries, please contact jxh2154. ----------------------------------------------------------
Apparently, I screwed up the source when I cut and pasted from the original post.
I DID download that post onto my drive and used a light version of Photoshop to brighten an image that was extremely dark. I thought this was acceptable if I acknowledged the original post.
