mudkip (pokemon) drawn by duroxas

Artist's commentary

  • Original
  • Good morning Mudkip

The whole thing is Two-parts Experiment, One part free-time boredom, and a third part "I want to draw a pokemon, Now"

A minor observation: People tend to always favor the pokemon from the first generation, the origional 1-151. While I understand the reasons and agree with them somewhat, "The new ones are so unorigional!", "The first gen is where it all started!", I don't share the hate for 3rd and 4th gen like others that's common around the fandom. One group of pokemon Ive always loved is the third gen starters, and I doodled them a few days ago, and couldn't get over how I did mudkip!

I think I actually managed to capture the fact that its the "Mud fish" pokemon, not some blue puppy with fins.

    Oh, and Mudkip (C) Nintendo
