When we were gazing at the scenery, some volunteer guide dude just whisked on up and launched into an explanation of the history of Sendai, even though we hadn't asked. Well, it killed time 'til our meeting time came up, which was perfect, so I guess he did us a favor. :-)

The zunda-mochi, zunda shake and such were sweet and very tasty.

Reader-added tags include "Cheek-twist", "No desire to slim down" and "Die in an endless explosion".

The survey offers more Sendai treats:

    How about a zunda menu?!
    • Zunda-mochi
    • Zunda cake roll
    • Zunda snow-white cheesecake
    • Zunda manjuu
    • Zunda-frosted daifuku

Mashed green soybeans, a delicacy of the Miyagi prefecture.

Curiously, not found on Wikipedia. This site, however, even has a recipe for making the stuff.

That explains why that zunda stuff was green in Sengoku Basara 3.

Thanks for the correction. This formatting system sometimes drives me crazy, I'd much rather have simple HTML markup both here and in the notes...

The trouble is, you're used to wiki markup text (and I sympathize). If you want to make a link to an outside site, it formats like this: "link text":URL. (You can have a period after the link and not get it counted as part of the link itself, but some punctuation, like quotation marks, does get pulled in. Also, any such link at the end of a non-final line in a post needs a space after it to keep everything else after it from vanishing.)

So your intended link would be to here.

Considering this is a Japanese sweet, would most Westerners find it sweet or would it be not that sweet compared to what most Westerners are used to?
