This is why I don't drink coffee besides that I hate the way it tastes. I don't like hot food/drinks and as a child I had a cup of just brewed coffee spilled in my lap. I had large painful welts on a large portion of my legs. They hurt for hours, hurt to move for days, and left permanent scarring. Thank God I'm a man since pants hide them.
I got carried away and ate myself so full that my tummy was in pain. Au bon pain.* No, that's not true, I'msorryforgivem-(pichuun).
*Actually, he says his stomach was bulging (panpan) with bread (pan, from the French "pain"). Still sort of bilingual, so I don't feel I stretched too much...

The poll wants more of the same, for some reason:
What should I spill in my hand at the drink station? • Coffee • Black tea • Green tea • Soup • Hot water
Hmm. Green tea is brewed/served best when it isn't extremely hot, so I would think that'd probably be the safest bet... it'd still hurt, though. I can't say I've ever heard of a drink station that dispenses soup!
Honestly, I prefer black tea to coffee, although if it isn't too salty (and most are), soups are generally a great way to start the day by spilling all over yourself.
Ah, poor Kogasa-san! Ask Sanae-san to use a miracle to make it better. At least it was only a hand, rather than spilling it on her lap and burning her legs. I managed to do that before with some fresh coffee. The burns hurt for a couple days after (though, I was more sad at losing my coffee).
For the poll, if you're going to spill something, let it be hot water. It'll only burn, not stain your clothes, too (having your clothes stained after being burnt is adding insult to injury, right?). If I'm getting something to drink, though, I always prefer green tea.

If you know where to look you can find certain soups at larger convienence stations across America. The ones that serve Hot Chocolate technically can serve liquid soups. The most common that I've found is Tomato, although I have seem Cream of Chicken, Cream of Garlic, and Chicken noodle before. I used to travel a lot. Truck Stops are your friend.
Same dilemma as me: "Can't wake up without coffee, can't make coffee properly when not awake"
Next morning. This hotel's buffet bakes its own bread, too.It seems like you're still very sleepy, Kogasa.Yeah... I'm still dead tired...Woke UpShaaaaaShablashShablash
