You and me, both. I didn't know either one of them came out in 1986, to be honest. ...but, I'm curious... shouldn't it be the "26th" anniversary?

Isn't Zelda overseen by Miyamoto? That would explain it, better overall quality and more frequent releases. Metroid in contrast hasn't fared so great with the only thing on consoles being thing that weren't so Metroidish... and then Other M.

Sakamoto and the farce that was Other M tarnished Metroid. That's why we saw no 25th anniversary celebration.
