I really hope he doesn't give in to this sort of thing and become yet another porn artist. It's already really hard to find good japanese artists that don't sellout with stuff like this.

Ah the path of faceless men porn. Most touhou artists sell out to this shit concept sadly. I don't think this will happen to ichimi but if it does I wont be that surprised. Really disappointed at the fact he picked such shit porn to make though. Seeing as most of his comic stuff is yuri flavored Id expect porn of that at least "sigh". Nothing worse then a artist that seems to favor yuri doing this random man or floating dick/torso and legs garbage. Turn your back on your audience why don't yah.
I'm pretty sure nearly ever pixiv artist has done porn one way or another. Or maybe they started out with porn before going over to the vanilla side, and there's nothing wrong with that. I do dislike Ichimi for going over to the "dark side", if only because he can't draw porn really well.
personally, I really hate it and disappointed when an artist whos used to draw yuri or just cute stuff suddenly draw something like this..it just doesnt feel right... but in the end its their right to do so for whatever reasons.... and all I can do is to shrug it off and move on..~
Even the most famous and well off Manga-ka's started off selling Porn Doujins(different pen name ofcourse), people seem to act like this is something new or a recent trend.

we kinda aware of that, honestly "starting off making porn" is kinda different than "from cutesy to sudden porn" yeah, its likely that in this case (ichimi) may has drawn het porn much before this but in many of our poV we start seeing ichimi as an artist who draw only cute stuff, so its kinda awkward to suddenly see art like this ("suddenly" is rather relative on this though). Just voicing my thoughts~~

Thought the same about segami_daisuke. But after a while you get so used to it that it doesn't affect you as much anymore.
You also need to take into account that alot of con goers(looks at Comike) do still eat up fap material of their favorite characters. And while I want to say we have a good amount of artists that want to make fun stories for the sake of making fun stories, if your normal doujin story that you spent weeks or months on sells 50 copies and your ero doujin that you literally spent 1 day making sells 500 copies, what do you think that doujin artist is going to make? Now if the doujin artists in question does in fact enjoy what he's doing, then I honestly see nothing wrong if they just started doing these things side by side.
As in making 1 nice story they actually care about for every 2 ero doujins they could bust out in like a couple days. Is it an otaku stereotype? Yes it is, but it still doesn't change the fact that when you go on Melonbooks or dlsite and see people just eating up your ero doujins, well....as someone also trying to get into the manga industry, I too would make a couple of ero doujins for the sake of actually putting time and money into the non-ero stories I cared about. Especially when you consider the fact that these popular artists actually get REQUEST from their emails and comments section on their own websites(or in person at cons) to start doing ero stuff. And when those voices also say "I would totally buy an ero doujin from you", than ya, the artists that typically didn't start on ero doujins, will in fact start doing them if their fans start asking for them. you may not be part of those fans that asked, but someone did.
Well the porn industry is still one of the most profitable and EASIEST industries to get into. Hell, alot of my friends in Vegas are dating strippers and they make freaking 4 digit figures in a week, let alone even 3-4 days of working. And personally, I'd only rate them like a 6 on the "Good looking" meter.
Hell, some of the girls keep telling me I should totally look into male stripping and I don't consider myself good looking at all.
