Either Sanaewife is a really heavy sleeper, or Hitoshi is one hell of a driver. From my experience, most people start waking up when a car slows down on an off ramp.
BadRoad said: "While the oni's sleeping" sounds like a stock phrase. But that's still no way to talk about your wife.
It actually means "While the oni's gone" (though ChaosKnight may have tweaked it on purpose), but there's a perfectly good English-language equivalent idiom to use instead. Fixed now.
I'm not saying a word about what I did at the Ebina service area! Come on, Sanae-san's monitoring this strip!
The tantanmen was tasty!
(Tantanmen (Ch.: dan dan mian ) is Szechuan noodles with a sesame paste/chili oil sauce.)
Reader-added tags include "Seven meals a day", "It's written all over your face, Kogasa-san" (not a literal translation, but the equivalent idiom was too good to pass up), and "You thought of it while she was sleeping, didn't you, Kogasa-san?"
And despite the blatant hint above, the survey's still keen to guess:
What did Kogasa-san eat? • Ramen • Curry • Beef bowl • Junk food • All of the above
Kogasa-san can be so sneaky at times... but Sanae-san is still going to figure it out at some point. I'm pretty sure Kogasa-san has yet to successfully sneak something by her without her knowing something was off. On the plus side, Tani-san got his Tokyo Banana.
For the poll, lets go with all of the above, because Yuyuko-sama has taught her well.

If you're living in a country where the streets are nearly off-road like here, slowing down won't bother you as much anymore. The terrible terrain might do that.
