Well, SAO was good, ALO on the other hand... No real consequences, an unnecessary love triangle, way too many tit-shots and fanservice overall, a completely forgettable villain and half-assed writing made the second half of this show such a waste of potential.
Downvoted, eh? It's so pathetic how people can't take any kind of criticism towards their beloved shows. Before you flag me, at least make some attempts to counter my statements - with words.

Talking about the anime, I admit the ALO arc felt a bit rushed, however I insist that it had a better plot than SAO, if only because SAO seemed mostly made up of side stories with a resolution that appeared out of nowhere. ALO, at least, had a clear direction and gave Kirito a very definitive goal.
The resolution still appeared out of nowhere. ALO could've been resolved within minute. 1. get admin rights 2. log out Asuna 3. (optional) send evidence to police

so if we go by this logic and not by the story's writing then...
1. How do you get admin rights without being an employee of the company? And even more so with the secret project that ALO is, how do you even propose to get that then? 2. How do you log out someone who was trapped in the same way as they were SAO without administrative rights then? Pull out the nervgear and risk frying her brains out? 3. Evidence? what evidence will it be if it was plainly virtual and Sugou was in no ways under any mental stress, how are you supposed to even get any then? Also since the head of has no reasons for presenting evidence and no pressure from the company going bankrupt or whatever, there will be no whistle blowing company employee then.
imo, ALO plot was good already... unlike SAO in which the events taking place were in intervals of weeks if not months, ALO's plot was taking place in just a matter of hours as minimum and days as maximum as Kirito cannot exceed the 2 weeks deadline to Asuna's wedding.
the anime skipped over, then backtracked, then skipped over (repeat the process) A lot of the material during SAO. Anyone who really likes SAO should read the light novel.
I'm sure that people who have read the novels can already see problems they've made for themselves by leaving out scenes if they plan to do anything in the future. For example, the main antagonist from GGO coming from a scene in book 2 that never made it into the anime and they go into such detail about how that incident scarred Kirito for life. Also, they skipped the whole underground dungeon Kirito and Leafa find themselves in where they see the elephant-jelly monster and the legendary sword Excalibur (which you were supposed to know about prior to Kirito using it to kill that ass-wad). Yeah. That whole scene pops up again as half of book 8. Half of the entire volume is a side story that branches off from that event. So yeah. I really wish they put a little more detail from the novels into it. Unless they don't plan to make any more into anime in which case never mind and I hope they get stung by bees for not delivering.
Also, here's hoping vol 7 never makes it into an anime because I will be pissing myself crying so hard.
