    Queen of Pain

    The Ecclesiast-King of Elze nursed a desire for pain--forbidden pain. In a less prominent political figure, such desires might be considered unwise, but in a monarch of his stature, to satisfy such thirsts would have threatened the virtue of the Divine Throne itself. Therefore he turned to his dungeon full of demonologists, promising freedom to whoever could summon a personal succubus of torment and bind it entirely to his service. The creature who arrived, Akasha by name, visited upon him such exquisite torments that he named her his Secret Queen, and he began to spend all his spare moments submitting to her clever torments--eventually abdicating all his responsibilities in his pursuit of the painful pleasures that only she could bring. Queen of Pain could bring him to the brink of death, but she was rune-bound to keep him alive. At last the King's neglect of state brought on an uprising. He was dragged from his chamber and hurled from the Tower of Invocations, and at the moment of death, Queen of Pain was let loose into the world, freed from servitude--freed to visit her sufferings on anyone she deigned to notice.

    First of all, Queen of Pain comes from DotA which is heavily rooted in the Warcraft realm. The Warcraft (and subsequently DotA) universe has a large variety of demons that are not all succubi.

    As the succubus wiki page here on Danbooru says, a succubus is usually recognisable by bat wings + and an arrow/spade tipped tail. Queen of Pain does not have a tail. I do not know if in her in game lore her status as a "succubus" is noted, either. I don't play DotA2.

    I don't think she is as "obvious" as you are pompously asserting. I am a Janitor and previously a very active member of danbooru, I do my utmost to maintain quality and appropriate tagging on this website. Now and then I will throw in a tag_me because I have to run off to work or an appointment, but will regularly go through my images to correct the tags when I have a moment. I did not feel comfortable tagging it as a succubus because I do not know if she is one. I no longer play DotA and the game has changed due to its breaking of ties with Warcraft. I follow the policy of not tagging something if I'm not sure, and leaving it to others who are familiar with the fandom so that they can do so.

    That said, perhaps you should use your brain a little instead of instantly assuming that because something wasn't tagged, that the uploader is a terrible idiotic heathen that is utterly blind to something the entire world can see.

    So, can you please try to behave in a more community friendly manner in the future?

    A bit late to the party, but she's a succubus in current Dota 2 lore. The just is there was a kinky king who offered to release any dark wizard from his prisons who was able to successfully soul-bind a succubus to him. After one succeeded, this king spent all his waking hours in the throws of sexual ecstasy. Akasha, being bound to the king, could not kill him herself, but by neglecting his duties as king, his subjects revolted and threw him from the highest balcony of his palace. This is why she, a succubus, is free in this this land, and is a bit frustrated with not being allowed to kill for a while, so she's working some things out on the battlefield.
