Actually no, remember that in Touhou-verse, alot of Youkai are "Cute-fied", Look at Nitori for example, she doesn't exactly look like a regular Kappa and ZUN already confirmed (himself) that Nitori doesn't have a bald spot. The regular hakutaku actually have extra eyes.

In fact, I'm kinda dissapointed ZUN didn't give Keine's Hakutaku's transformation mode extra eyes on her arms or something. She'd still look cute IMO.

I was just referring to her gaps, really. Didn't have anything to do with "realism."
