It's not surprising how the artist boosted the curves of some other Touhous (Mokou and Kaguya being rather notable as they're usually quite small, not nicely sized)

Mokou's love for Keine in affect to help her escape, also is Keine's head phasing through the ropes or something? Or is it that phasing thing so we can see Keine's face from the other side of the ropes?

Well, this match is basically doomed already. Either Red 75 will take it and people will bitch about them being overpowered, or Immortal will inexplicably pull something else out of their ass again and people will bitch about them inexplicably pulling stuff out of their ass again.

And also, I will be away for about a week starting from tomorrow (time is still uncertain), so hopefully someone can cover the translation for this series and a few other series that I usually do while I'm away. If not, I'll take care of them when I get back.

Of course she does. This is Pro Wrestling, not the Olympics. The purpose isn't to determine who Gensokyo's most skilled grappler is; it's to entertain the crowd. A match where one of the wrestlers gets sucker-punched and pinned in the first 5 seconds isn't entertaining.

And it's this whole "entertainment" angle that may lose Red 75% the tournament. Reimu doesn't get the whole "face / heel" thing, and has come off as very heel-ish. Kaguya does get it, and plays to the crowd. What Aya did is what Kaguya is hoping for: biased rulings in their favor because everyone wants to see their babyface team win the tournament.

It won't win them this match, though. Red 75%, being the heel team, has to get to the final match so it'll be more satisfying when (or if) they lose to Team Moriya or Heavenly Sky.

So what? Do you remember Team Moriya vs Scarlet 200%? When Sanae distracted Flandre and pinned her Aya did a complete 3 count pin at the first FIVE SECONDS of the match which would have gave Team Moriya the win had Sanae not did that quick announcement that it was a 2 out of 3 round match and in the second round Meiling did the same thing to Sanae, she pinned her in the first FIVE SECONDS of the match as well AND she sucker punched her, a referee is SUPPOSE to do a complete 3 count pin regardless of anything.

So all of what you said is irrelevant and just proves that Aya did that just to cheat out Red 75%'s victory just like she tried to do in their previous fights with Rabbit and Ghost Union and Kirisame Familia just to see them lose.

That was Momiji doing the 2.9999 thing, people. See Aya starting to say "three" there? Calm the fuck down.

Now now no need to use that word, and I posted that first comment about the 2.9999 crap BEFORE translation, I can see that now but Yuyuki had a major error in his/her logic that was thrown at me and I was correcting it and proving him/her wrong.

I love that people still think Aya cares who wins. Aya cares about what provides the most entertainment.

Actually, it is to determine who Gensokyo's most skill grappler is... the winners of the matches are not scripted (except at the metalevel). But they do submit scripts and tool lists because it is still about entertainment as well.

There's no real difference here in Aya's behaviour here and in the Moriya/Scarlet 200% match... in both cases she pauses in the middle of the "three", because she really doesn't want matches to end quickly on cheap shots. Ideally, matches should last until both sides are completely worn down... and then, even if the final fall is a fairly cheap shot, it doesn't matter, because people will have gotten their money's worth. So Aya's not really cheating by going with a slower count early in the match, it's in the best interest of the promoters and the audience... the wrestlers come third. Although, properly done, the second should have been distracting Aya from even starting the count... that's really part of the job (Kogasa did a wonderful job of helping the Scarlett 200% case from being a disaster after the fact, though).

It won't win them this match, though. Red 75%, being the heel team, has to get to the final match so it'll be more satisfying when (or if) they lose to Team Moriya or Heavenly Sky.

Kaguya has been shown being intrigued with heeling, after her match with Higan Judgement. This, plus her deceptive ways in the metastory and doubleplus the nature of her relationship with her partner, foreshadows a real potential far a heel turn for her. Right now, against Reimu, that simply isn't going to happen... Reimu is just going lower and lower. There's also the fact that had she drawn the other semi-final match, she had requested an honourable demonstration match like Moriya did... so she was definitely not planning on doing it first thing this round. But she could definitely script the turn for the final.

I think Kaguya plans to use the crowd against Reimu as even if Reimu wins, she's going to end up even less popular for it. Reimu's genre ignorance is a very damning trait as she could have used this to get some more visitors (sort of like Sanae's doing).

Great, then we can all bitch about being robbed of the finals arc (and preparation for it) because a whole half of the bracket was eliminated on some random technicality! WOOHOO!

Anyway, since pulling bullshit tricks (or in Reimu's case, deciding to declare bullshit trick time is over and start using bullshit superpowers) at the last possible second is basically the only way anyone wins in these types of arcs, things are actually looking up for Immortal Smoke since getting curbstomped for the first half of the match worked so well for Immortal Smoke last time. Things only look down for Immortal Smoke if they start doing things like kicking Reimu in the bean again. So long as they avoid dirty tricks like that, and stick to good, clean tricks that keep their face status, they might be fine.

(But still, Reimu as "ultimate heel final boss" seems more likely still - I'm waiting on the bean shot.)

Also, is it just me, or does anyone else think it's possible Dei Shirou is getting meta with the "2.9999" count thing, and having Akyu/Momiji actually say the sort of things that the audience has been complaining about? (Presuming the Japanese complain about the same things we complain about, I doubt Dei Shirou gives a damn about Danbooru.)

In that case, it was a pretty weak pin; Mokou has an arm and both legs free. Reimu was mostly just leaning on her hips and holding down Mokou's left arm.

Don't worry, he is doing it on purpose and the fans over there didn't really complain but they did notice it.
