If that's the case I think he's just being hard on himself or is too shy since anyone that can make decent manga should have no problem using that to meet women as it's an easy way to stand out at a convention. I have to admit I've never even been to a convention or made comics, but I'd think it makes sense.

I have seen some of the author's (who is a girl) lives streams. I am not sure if she is basing this guy on real life stuff or just to make up a story but I dont think that is really the case.
