Er how exactly can nuclear fusion be dangerous? It and nuclear fission reactors are clean pollution wise compared to fossil fuel plants, and with nuclear fission it could've solved many power generating problems with clean energy decades before we started putting hopes on solar and wind plants to do the job.

No one knows how dangerous raw nuclear energy is than Okuu. Look at how many times we get a close up panel of her eye. Even if we're talking about process Nuclear energy, Okuu just doesn't want to take any risk.

I can't help but wonder if this is somehow related to what we saw at the end of the postman arc...You know, with all the shots of the moon, and then seeing Utsuho looking like she was about to annihilate everything.

Which means that 100 years have passed since the days of the postman. Although I suppose this is far more obvious with the Akyuu chapter.
