Actually the M3 Medium was pretty spacious compared to other WWII tanks, at 10 feet in height, 18 feet long and 9 feet wide it was a veritable minivan. The Russians found they could fit 10 infantrymen with SMGs inside the "coffin for six brothers" in addition to the crew.
