Not using Danbooru itself unless you pay $20 or a mod/admin upgrades your level so that you can use the Subscriptions feature. Even then it won't alert you, just make a listing of all the tags in the subscription, which you can see quite heavily abused on my profile page.
You could just set up a bookmark to the artist's tag and check it so often.
