It baffles me why they took so long since not only that the novel providing way more than enough materials to work with that you can probably get to something like season 4 without running out, it is also a guaranteed success anyway so I don't see why they didn't do this like since 2-3 years ago.
It's a money tree the anime studio chose not to reap until 5 friggin years later.
